I’ve been playing academy football since I was 6 years old, and from an early age, I shared the pitch with teammates who faced challenges far beyond the game.

Some played without shoes. Others walked miles to training and went home to difficult circumstances.

But each time we took to the field, we were equals, united by discipline, passion, and a common goal. These early encounters made me realise how powerful sport is not just for fun, but also for uplifting, bringing people together, and changing lives. Years later, I came to America to finish my high school education while playing football at the highest level. Fast forward to December 2024, I collaborated with friends, family and teammates  in launching our first giving initiative thanks to my teammates with the St. Lawrence University Men's Soccer team. We gathered together and helped Big James Connect FC, a grassroots team in Nairobi run by James Omondi Oduor, a former striker for Kenya. We gave more than 20 young athletes equipment, guidance, and faith, creating hope.

Now, we’re preparing to embark on our next life-changing initiative: renovating a school in Kenya to give students a clean, safe, and inspiring space to learn. We’re aiming to provide 20 new desks, school supplies, and light renovations. With each step a reminder that small actions can lead to big change.

For me, this journey is about giving back to the communities that helped shape who I am. It’s about standing alongside those with potential and ensuring they have the tools to chase their future. on and off the pitch.
