Empowering Youth Through Sports
Project 1: Big James Connect FC
In December 2024, we proudly launched our very first giving project, partnering with the Big James Connect FC a team in Nairobi, Kenya. This milestone initiative was made possible through the incredible support of the St. Lawrence University Men's Soccer team, whose generosity and belief in the power of sport helped bring our vision to life.
Big James Connect FC, coached by James Omondi Oduor, former Kenya national team striker, plays in Nairobi’s Sub-County League and has become a beacon of hope for over 20 young boys from under-resourced communities. Beyond football, the project aims to foster leadership, create opportunities, and boost self-esteem through mentorship and organised sports.
Heavy Footprints played a hands-on role in supporting this initiative, from organizing and delivering gear to capturing the journey through photos and videos. With every pair of boots, jersey, and practice session, we helped build a foundation where talent is nurtured and dreams are within reach. Most of the kids were going to play at the sub county level without shoes. So that is where we try to make a change to allow all, to compete in the best conditions.
This was not just a gift, but a statement of purpose. A commitment to investing in youth, empowering communities, and making our first project one that sets the tone for everything we stand for.

Project 2: Class room renovation

Through teamwork and dedication, we successfully renovated a classroom, transforming it into a safe, clean, and inspiring learning environment for over 100 children. By providing essential resources and improving the space, we helped create better conditions for students to learn, grow, and stay motivated in their education.

We successfully launched managed to give soccer equipment to over 20 kids. This last December we completed our last project where we managed to renovate a classroom helping over 100+ students. helping over 150 kids with the two main projects.
